Hello!
My virus protection for my lap top ran out. I was running kassperski (the paid virsion) but my 3 year license has now come to an end.
I can't afford anything real pricy so I thought free would be the way to go lol. However, there are so many virus programs that "say," they do a good job but do not.
So, does anyone have any ideas on a free accessible virus protection program that'll work with jaws?
Thanks so much!

Microsofts does a good job and is totally accessible.
What OS do you have?
Just go to Microsoft.com and put your question in the search box.

I second what the previous poster said. And stay away from avast! I know its free, but the current version is not very useable.

It gets fickle. Microsoft remains accessible and can be used period if you are a light internet user and don't go to sights that are questionable.

I also like microsoft antivirus products because they are accessible even if they don't score that much in tests.
But for people still on xp microsoft security essentials has expired.
But for windows 7 and up people have got a solution from microsoft that works well with screen readers.

Thank you! I'm using the Microsoft antivirus and the malware antibites program. However, I can't get the kasperski off my pc..it won't let me..every time I try it keeps crashing and freezing up.

This is sort of like sending a dog to get a dog, but is free.
Remove the other two new programs.
Go to this page.
Either install Vipre on the trialand it will sut down any other program, or run the Vipre rescue, and allow it to remove anything it finds bad.
If you run the rescue, just install it and start it running. No need to boot in to safe mode. It will cover your problem
After all is finished, just install the two new programs again, and you're goode.
